What kind of tools do I need to install the shelves?
Do It Your Shelf provides the hardware, you will just need a few tools. You will need a Stud Finder (if installing into the studs), an electric drill (with a Phillips-Head attachment) or phillips-head screwdriver.
Are there any installation videos available?
Yes! We have a DIY video library that we established for you! Head on over to ourTraining Videos page.
What is the approximate install time?
Our brackets and shelves are super easy to install. You should be able to install the stud mounts in about 5 minutes or less and the drywall mounts in about 15 minutes or less.
Do you offer installation?
We do not offer installation but we do have training videos that will help you with your installation. Check out our DIY video library that we established for you! Head on over to our Training Videos page.
What kind of paint can I use?
You may paint all of the shelf parts with any paint. All parts are paintable grade ABS.
What kind of Plastic are your parts?
All our parts are paintable grade ABS. ABS has a higher tensile strength and is more rigid and sturdy than PVC. This makes it more ideal for products that need to withstand higher mechanical stress.

What type of wood are your shelves?
Our shelves are made from sustainable Pine.
